Greens spokesperson for science, research and innovation Adam Bandt MP
has welcomed the government’s release of the 2016 National Research
Infrastructure Roadmap, but has reminded Minister Sinodinos and Minister
Birmingham that without funding, the announcement is just an empty
promise.
“If this roadmap is funded properly, it would help boost Australia’s research capability,” said Mr. Bandt.
“But a bold vision to tackle the problems of the 21st century without any funding is like buying a car without pedals and a steering wheel.
“Australia could be a research powerhouse of the world, but the government needs to commit. Right now it’s all talk and no action.”
