NSW koalas have declined by 26% over the past three koala generations

Save our koalas
New research out today shows that across NSW koalas have declined by 26% over the past three koala generations (that’s just 20 years!)*

Koalas across NSW are in the fight of their lives. Now more than ever they need your voice.
To make matters worst the NSW Government is planning to allow a huge increase in tree clearing across the state – starting in just a few months.

There’s still time to salvage some vital protections for koalas by making their habitat off limits to tree clearing.
Please send an urgent email to your local representative in Parliament so they know you’re watching when they make this important decision.

We’ve made it easy for you to send a quick email so please take a moment to be the voice for koalas and other wildlife.

Today is Endangered Species Day, a day where the international spotlight is shone on the plight of wildlife like the koala and the hundreds of other plants and animals at risk of extinction in NSW.

Late last year the NSW Government weakened our tree clearing laws and now they’re writing the final details. They’re deciding whether endangered ecosystems, and habitat for koalas and other threatened animals will be bulldozed.

Take a stand today and let your local representative know you don’t want to see an increase in tree clearing destruction across NSW. There’s still time if we act now.
In action,

Kate Smolski
CEO
Nature Conservation Council of NSW

P.S. We have just 5 weeks left until Premier Berejiklian decides whether to allow more tree clearing across NSW. Make a tax-deductible donation today and turbo charge our fighting fund. Thank you for all that you do.
