Pics from Bellingen's Candlelit Vigil for Refugees July 19

Candlelit  Vigil
in Bellingen

"For the past four years successive Australian governments have chosen to make people seeking safety suffer in offshore detention.

The men, women and children abandoned in offshore detention are in immediate danger with nowhere safe to go.

This Vigil was to support a nation wide call for their immediate transfer to Australia and an end to their indefinite detention." RAR

It's time to end the indefinite detention of asylum seekers on Manus Island and Nauru. The treatment of asylum seekers is cruel, unlawful , inhumane and unsustainable.

We sent a clear message to our government that we will not tolerate this abuse in our name.
Close the camps!
Bring them here!
